Welcome to our re-designed website, we are still in the process of ensuring that everything is still working so please do bear with us. This also means that we are adding new content to add to the mix of things that we already offer.
Our Security and Risk Blog for Small and Medium-sized Business (otherwise known as SaRB for SMB's) is a regular blog with tips and information for Small Business covering topics from the perspective of those those who do not work in cyber security.
Here visitors will find information for Small Businesses on everything from privacy in Social Media, to Password Policies, to Security Awareness Programmes, to the Internet of Things, to What to do if you think your Business has been compromised.
Sarb Sembhi and Nick Ioannou provide information on all aspects of cyber security, privacy and related issues for Small Businesses.
Sarb on Innovators introduces innovative business solutions from start-ups to senior decision-makers and the public to find out about solutions that we believe may change the world for good. The aim of Sarb on Innovators is to help promote some of the best, latest, innovative solutions that decision-makers should be considering to help them deal with the changes brought about by our changing economies, world, the climate, regulations and most of all by the impact of other technologies.
Many incumbent service providers have been treating any new challenge or problem as a nail for their hammer solution. We believe that Innovation should be given a chance, so we created a free service for both Innovators and Decision-makers to share what they have and what they think of it.
Security and Risk Blog on Smart Environments (otherwise known as SaRB on SE's) is a blog covering Smart Cities, Smart Buildings, Smart Homes and Smart Manufacturing. In it we cover the latest security and privacy issues in all these environments.
In this blog we question and answer What is a Smart Home, Building or City? We have come up with a definition, which we make available under the Open Source Creative Commons licence, and has been accepted by the IoT Security Foundation's Smart Built Environment Group.
The first episode of this Blog will be available soon. The Security2Live Initiative was set up to provide cyber security awareness information to people for their home environments.
This Initiative was founded by Virtually Informed with three Founding Partners to respond to the growing technology in the home environment where most people are adding to their overall devices estate without necessarily understanding the security or privacy implications.
We have technology that automates actions and activities, or monitor actions and activities in our homes, our person and likely around our properties. In some cases the technology will have the right security settings to protect the consumer by default, but in many cases, there are no controls to do so.
We felt that this was wrong and teamed up with other experts to produce information that we hope will help.
Check out our Project page to find out more about what we are trying to achieve.
